Providing Credible Construction with a Social Conscience.
“For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.”
Hebrews 3:4
Based out of Waterloo Region in the town of New Hamburg, Ontario, Just Working Construction is a socially-minded construction company. Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of others and share the gospel in our communities. We think outside of the box in the way we build; by hiring newcomers to Canada and providing a safe work environment where they can relearn the trades in Canada. Our primary focuses include affordable housing options (both commercial and residential), tiny home and laneway construction, inter-generational housing, co-housing, and sustainable energy-efficient design.
Our Services
Charlton Laneway Home
Laneway houses are increasing in popularity. This home was one of the first of its kind in Hamilton. Built alongside Invizij Architecture, this detached laneway house is an 800 square foot passive home with 2 bedrooms. Laneway homes are not only space-efficient but help the housing crisis in the area.
Fairview Generational Home
This beautiful home is a great example of a multigenerational passive house in the KW area. Originally a 1,100 sq foot house, major renovations, including an added second floor, transformed it into multiple dwellings. Now, the main family house has 6 bedrooms. This renovation also created a two-bedroom apartment and a one-bedroom apartment to help with the lack of rental units in the area. Rental units currently are helping to pay off the renovations and mortgage.
