This recognition reflects our long-standing commitment to caring for our workers and building a strong culture of safety.

From simple innovations like our signature red safety binder to our participation in the WSIB Health and Safety Excellence Program, we continue to invest in training, communication, and practices that protect every member of our team.

At JWC, safety is more than compliance; it’s an expression of care, responsibility, and leadership. Our goal remains the same: everyone goes home safe, every day.

2023 Award

Urban Design and Architecture Award 2023

Just Working Construction Inc. is proud to have built the Kirkendall Coach House, an early example of an Accessory Dwelling Unit in Hamilton and a model for sustainable, small‑scale urban intensification.

Designed by architect Emma Cubitt and built to Passive House standards, the 75 m² unit demonstrates that low‑energy, low‑carbon, all‑electric living is both achievable and financially practical.

The project received an Award of Merit – Private Buildings (Residential). The jury praised its high‑quality execution, innovative sustainable design, and detailed costing that proves environmentally responsible construction can also be practical and profitable.

At JWC, we’re honoured to help deliver projects that push sustainable building forward in our communities.

At JWC, we believe the future of construction is inclusive, skilled, and bold — and Joellah is helping lead the way.
