Just Fairview: My Team

I was in a work seminar last year and they talked about how there’s 3 different types of employee that’s needed in every organization.

The first was an innovator. That’s Jeff. Dream big or go home. He likes to try new things and push people to come up with a better way. Jeff is the reason we are building triple thick walls with vapour barrier and ordering special windows from Poland.

Jeff is the reason we’re using the passive house retro fit idea as an excuse to add 2 units and provide housing to our community.

Jeff’s big ideas is also the reason our house will be entirely heated by infloor heating which I am super excited about.

The 2nd is the optimizer. That’s what I resinate with. I love to look at what is already existing and dream of how to make it better. This is the reason our garage will now be a gorgeous front entrance

Its also the reason I love to look at this tired old kitchen and imagine it will fit perfectly with our vision. Just needs a little something.

What our team is lacking though is the maintainer. This is the reason our garden is overgrown and we will most likely hire a house cleaner when we move back in.

All in all though, I think God gave me a pretty good team.

“For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.”
